Grease is the Word

Week 5 and the Dannys took part alone fighting for a place in the final. Voted off were Danny R and Michael, so the final will see Anthony and Danny B going head to head for the lead role in Grease the musical in the west end.

Danny R was the first to go with the judges deciding he should go, Michael lost out in the public vote later in the show.

David Ian gave michael some hope for the future saying this isnt the last time we will work together.

Bradley and Lauren were voted off Grease is the word on week 4. In week 4 the couples were split up and new pairings were made. Former couple Danny R and Lauren were both in the last 2 with their new partners. Lauren with Bradley and Danny R with Alison.
In the end it was Bradley and Lauren who had to go.

Wayne and Hayley and Michelle and Bradley were in the bottom 2 this week with wayne and hayley getting the booted

It is rumoured that Brian Friedman will become a judge on the new series of X Factor, joining Dannii Minogue, Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell, Fearne Cotton is rummoured to become the new Xtra Factor Presenter replacing Ben Shephard.

Bradley is out to impress this weekend after being slated by Brian Friedman last week. The american told Bradley and
Michelle Antrobus that she was West End while bradley was more dead end.

Brian’s comments did not seem to ring true with the audience as they were first through last week.

Brian is hoping to make a better impression this week with the musical theatre theme.

Brian was quoted on www.herts24.co.uk saying : “I’m not a singer, traditionally people who have played Danny such as John Travolta, Shane Richie are actors that have got into to it, so that’s hopeful.”

Joanna Power and Richard Morgan were the week 2 evictees on ITV1’s Grease is the Word. On Saturday night they lost out to Vicky Hoyles and Micheal Quinn.
They both got the lowest votes from the public. David Gest said he saved Micheal and Vicky as they performed better on the night.
The sing off had the couples seeeing Grease classic ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and at the end of it the judges decided Joanna and Richard were not the ones that they wanted.

Richard will now be going back to his plastering in Rotherham. and 22 year old Joanna to her pub singing in essex. They did really welll to get this far as they had not had the musical performance grounding that some of the the other contestant have had.
The best performance of the night seemed to be Danny B and Susan who sang time of my life from dirty dancing which got the judges purring. Brian Friedman said that performance was the ‘the best of the night’, and David Gest, said it was ‘best vocal performance’.
